Communal

Last night was the opening night for Communal. It opens to the public on Friday night but last night the family and friends were lucky enough to get a sneak-peak at what the new restaurant has to offer...

So excited for the first course to arrive...I love eating.

So our goal last night was to take pictures of each course (there were 13). Everything was so good that we just started eating as soon as each plate arrived and forgot to take pictures! Here are a few that we remembered...

Charcuterie (appetizer)

Potato gratin (1/2 eaten but at least I remembered)

Halibut

Flat iron steak

Joe and Colton. They've worked so hard both on Pizzeria 712 and now on Communal. Great job guys!!

Just as P712 does, Communal will showcase art from local artists

Grandma and her girls

Jen, Mom, me, and Amanda
What a night, we had so much fun and left with full bellies. Remember to stop by Communal next time you're in downtown Provo!

SCHOOL and the farm

Today was Allie's first day of school. I can't believe that this time next year she will be in kindergarten! It makes me sad to think about it so I don't. For now I will just enjoy the 2 1/2 hours of peace and quiet I get on Mondays and Wednesdays! She had a great first day and was even happier when Grandma and Grandpa Heywood came up from SLC so we could all go out to lunch afterwards...

I was so glad she was excited and not nervous!

when I said smile for the camera Nala really got into it

After school and lunch we took a trip to the Taggart's farm to get some peaches. This is Allie's favorite horse, his name is Tag

Nala came along with us to the farm. She likes to pull a bit too much while on her leash lately so we had to have her start wearing this collar while she's training. It cracks me up because she looks kind of bling-bling in it.

Ryan's parents got some roosters and hens several months ago...

Allie was so excited to show Grandpa Taggart the eggs she found in their cage!

gotta love the farm!
