Snow day

A few days ago we finally had our first big snow storm! Allie is all about the snow angels this year so we went outside to make some...

She was very proud of her snow outfit she picked out for herself this year. So glamorous.

Oh Christmas Tree...

We had a blast with Jen and the kids picking out our Christmas tree a few weeks ago.

Then we all went to dinner at the Pizzeria...

R.I.P. Sophia...

Sophia was our fish...she was a blue beta that lasted much longer than I thought she would. A whole year. She's been looking a little slow lately and not eating her food, and on Sunday night we found her at the bottom of her tank in a watery grave. I was worried Allie would be sad and got myself all prepared to say the "right" thing about how Sophia is happy in heaven now with all her fishy friends...So I brougt her over and showed her how Sophia had peacefully passed away and I was ready to answer all her questions. I said..."do you know what happens to Sophia now that she has died?"

Allie's sweet response..."Flush her."

I LOVE 3-YEAR-OLDS.

This is the only pic I snapped of Allie taking Sophia to the bathroom (sorry about the blurry)...she happened to be playing dress up at the time. It worked out well that she was all dressed up for the funeral.

Happy December!

This is my favorite month of the year...I love the whole Christmas season and I force myself to hold off on decorations for Chistmas until December 1st. Today is the day! We are off to provo to get our Christmas tree with Jen and the kids and then to the pizzeria for dinner :) I found this slightly ghetto 1$ advent calendar at the store and Allie is loving it. Happy December!

I want this DOG!

This is Domino...as much as I wish he was mine, he isn't. Ryan's sister just got him and he's just about the cutest Boxer ever. We got to babysit him for a couple hours and Allie was loving it...

Allie and Domino...it was cold outside so he had to wear his sweater.

Our Boxer Rosie was a little nervous that we were replacing her.

Anything resembling a baby to Allie goes directly into her stoller...he actually stayed in it as long as she was pushing him around.

Allie's all about getting a puppy now, so we will see...I kind of want one as much as she does.

Trick or Treat...

As usual, we drove down to Provo on Halloween and went trick-or-treating with the cousins (Jake, Emma, and Sophie). It was a blast, here are some pics of the whole week...hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This is Domino...Brenda's new little Boxer puppy...SO CUTE.

Here are our finished products! I must say they turned out pretty good. Ryan's is the skeleton pirate and mine is the witch.

Allie was a cat for her preschool halloween party...she wouldn't stand up for me.

The girls all looked great as a cowgirl, Hannah Montana, and the snow fairy. I don't know how I missed Jake, he was the man in the yellow hat from Curious George.

Ryan went all out in full cowboy gear. And I was a cow.

Of course, the princess had to be strolled to each door in her carriage.

And then she upgraded towards the end of the night. Spoiled. I don't think she walked the whole night!

And now it's November...where does the time go?

Birthday...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETTY! Yes, Betsy's birthday is on Halloween and usually she is here in Utah celebrating it with us but not this year. We miss you! Hope you have a Happy Birthday...I LOVE YOU!

Do you know what this is...?

If you're a sucker for Cafe Rio's creamy dressing like I am then you know what it is...I made it tonight for our taco salad and it was YUMMY...

• 1 pkg. Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix
• 2 tomatillos
• 1 clove garlic
• 2 bunches cilantro, including stems (I didn't include the stems)
• 1 jalapeno, seeded
• juice of 1 lime

IN THE BLENDER: Make ranch dressing according to package directions, except use 1/2 of the milk. Gradually add each additional ingredient one at a time to the blender, blending as you go. Chill and serve.

A glimpse...

I know it's been forever since a lot of you have seen Allie (some of you never), so I thought I would send a little video of her...She's such a big girl now, time flies! (Forgive the hacking cough at the end).

The first of many...

I LOVE being able to see what's going on with all my family and friends and thought that Allie and I should do the same...I didn't know where to begin so I just decided to throw a bunch of pictures together of our fun summer and go from there...hope you enjoy it!!
